Crusaders Men Stay Perfect With Dominant Win at Home

ORLANDO, FL - Behind yet another five-goal performance from Rapha Tobias, the Central Florida Crusaders remained perfect on the season, beating the Columbus Rapids 12-3 on Saturday night.


The win marked the second straight 12-goal outing for the Crusaders and the second straight five goals scored by Tobias.  


Just 15 seconds into the game, Tobias would score the opener. He would also score the second later in the quarter to make it 2-0. 


Juan Rotjes and Juan Morales for Columbus would score in the second quarter to make it 2-0, but Maycon França would find the back of the net with 30 seconds to go in the half, giving the Crusaders a 3-2 advantage.


As the second half started, Central Florida would take full control. A goal from Victor Rada would start a 9-0 scoring run until Sammy Valdivia scored with 30 seconds left in the game for Columbus.


Eduardo Cruz, Victor Rada, Rodolfo Lopes (2), Rodolfo Alvarez, and Tobias (3) would all tally in the second half.


The Crusaders will now prepare for a three-game weekend, as they head to Fayetteville on Friday night and Saturday afternoon before coming back home to host Tampa Bay on Sunday, while the Rapids host the Memphis Americans on Friday and Saturday, then host Fayetteville on Sunday.
